Matt Hogan leads the development of young horses at Genesis Training Center. He aims to build a strong foundation that prepares each Thoroughbred for both racing and life beyond the track. From day one, horses enter a comprehensive training program featuring long-lining, under-saddle work, field hacking, and trail riding across the 1,000-acre Diamond A Farm in Versailles, KY. Their preparation continues with starting gate schooling and both solo and group rides on our superior racing surface. This is a year-round training regimen conducted at our state-of-the-art indoor facility. It is designed to set every Genesis graduate on a path to long-term success in elite racehorse development.

Spanning 1,000 acres at Diamond A Farm, our operation includes a 5/8-mile outdoor track and a state-of-the-art 3/8-mile indoor facility. These premier training environments offer controlled turnout and varied paddock setups, creating the ideal setting for breaking, layup, and rehabilitation. As a leading Kentucky Thoroughbred Training Center, we’re built for year-round development and committed to providing each horse with the dedicated care and individual attention needed to reach peak performance—both on and off the track.
At Genesis, horse training is at the heart of everything we do. From grooms to professional exercise riders, our experienced team provides 24/7 care using proven, progressive training methods. Each horse follows a tailored program that includes long-lining, under-saddle work, and starting gate schooling—preparing them for success in competitive racing and beyond.
